About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead AI-first engineering practices and explore AI-assisted development tools to improve team productivity
Establish the technical vision and roadmap for the Sinch Build Platform and the broader platform portfolio
Own identity, customer/account models, developer tooling, documentation, and API connectivity
Lead, grow, and nurture a distributed engineering organization of approximately 30 people, including 3 Engineering Manager direct reports
Create a coherent experience for developers and AI agents across Sinch’s Voice, Messaging, Email, and Applications products
Define the operating model for Platform team collaboration with global Product Areas
Drive platform adoption and reuse through trust and collaboration
Partner with Product leadership to connect platform investment to business outcomes such as faster onboarding and reduced integration friction
Report directly to the Chief Product Officer

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven senior engineering executive experience building and leading multi-team engineering organizations with managers reporting to you
Experience managing budgets, hiring, and strategic resourcing
Deep experience with developer-facing products such as APIs, SDKs, and developer portals
Measure success through outcomes, active adoption, and developer satisfaction
Solid understanding of modern platform technologies, IAM systems, and API connectivity
Experience with or strong strategic interest in agentic AI, including MCP servers, tool-calling design, and agentic integrations
Humble, highly collaborative leadership style capable of navigating complex stakeholder environments
Ability to drive technical transformation through influence and credibility
Based in Stockholm, Sweden or willing to relocate to Stockholm
English application required; English is the corporate language
