About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and develop a team of Regional Sales Managers and Area Sales Representatives
  • Support achievement of commercial objectives through sales leadership, talent development, territory and account management, budget oversight, and cross-functional partnership
  • Partner with the VP of Sales to implement strategies and tactics supporting commercial objectives
  • Develop and recommend sales plans for assigned RSMs and ASRs
  • Manage assigned sales budgets, quotas, and expenses
  • Recruit, develop, coach, and manage RSMs and ASRs
  • Recommend account coverage, territory alignment, and sales team geographies
  • Partner with Marketing and functional leaders on Key Opinion Leader relationships
  • Coordinate training and development for existing and newly hired sales team members
  • Develop and implement sales programs
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to resource Sales team needs
  • Execute strategies and tactics for new product launches with Marketing
  • Maintain knowledge of disease states, market dynamics, competition, and the healthcare environment
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and AdvaMed requirements
  • Work with the VP of Sales and other functional leaders to provide Sales leadership, resources, and support

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 7 years of medical device experience required
  • Experience in Oncology or Interventional Radiology strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 5+ years of demonstrated sales management experience within the medical device industry required
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop sales professionals
  • Ability to effectively interact with healthcare professionals and internal business partners
  • Demonstrated initiative, judgment, and resourcefulness
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to sit, walk, and stand for prolonged periods
  • Possible exposure to radiation
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to travel approximately 50%–65%, including occasional weekends and holidays as business needs require
  • Current valid driver’s license
