About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Approve system-generated reporting, queries, and client deliverables for compliance, adherence, and accuracy
- Manage oral and written communication with internal and external clients, insurance agents, and brokers regarding servicing of commercial real estate loans
- Independently proof cash and non-cash transactions for premium processing according to loan terms and servicing standards
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, quality standards, management direction, and contractual deliverables
- Generate or supervise source data and transaction postings within the servicing system
- Summarize research for inquiries from borrowers, lenders, audit, rating agencies, and authorized stakeholders
- Design and build spreadsheet templates and financial models using Excel formulas, data tables, and macros
- Analyze insurance exceptions, coverages, and premiums
- Ensure compliance with servicing standards, internal policies, and loan and servicing document requirements
- Identify and address provisions requiring exception processing
- Mentor junior staff and proactively assist coworkers
- Participate in special projects and work overtime when necessary to meet client deadlines
- Recommend process rationalization and efficiency initiatives
- Compile internal reports and assist asset managers and portfolio management with client reporting
- Perform insurance administration and other assigned duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of industry and/or relevant experience
- Typically 1+ years in an Associate level role or external equivalent
- Associate degree in accounting, finance, real estate, business, or equivalent level of education and experience
- Practiced in learning new tasks and achieving goals while demonstrating profession behaviors
- Some leadership experience with small groups or peers is preferable
- Ability to identify a potential problem or issue and take appropriate proactive action
- Experience with Excel, including multiple formulas and macros
- Excellent written, verbal and electronic communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment while expressing independent thought
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet multiple deadlines with minimum supervision
- Ability to work adjusted schedules, including more than a traditional 8-hour day and evening/weekend hours when necessary
- Periodic travel, including overnight stays, may be required
