About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support strategic plans and objectives for the M&A and Corporate practices
  • Drive cross-practice collaboration and assist with communications, administration, research, reporting, marketing communications, and project coordination
  • Lead implementation efforts for partner pipelines to support growth and consistency
  • Implement marketing and business development initiatives, including client targeting programs and pursuit teams
  • Draft pitches, capability statements, placemats, and business development presentations
  • Prepare tailored content presenting the Firm’s credentials, differentiators, and value proposition
  • Advise attorneys on lead development, pitching, and follow-up
  • Manage sales pipeline processes across assigned practices and partners
  • Oversee collection of practice experience for the Firm’s database
  • Identify and support cross-practice and cross-region opportunities
  • Implement strategic plans, execute tactics, report progress, and align resources
  • Prepare attorney briefings and research for events and meetings
  • Drive profile-raising activities through speaking events, sponsorships, public relations, and social media
  • Manage legal directory, award, and ranking opportunities and lead practice submissions
  • Monitor industry trends and collaborate on client mailings and articles
  • Lead planning and execution of client events and speaking engagements
  • Analyze attendee lists and prepare tailored engagement materials
  • Support attorney follow-up and track outcomes in the Firm’s CRM
  • Manage Firm resources and supervise direct reports
  • Participate in interviewing, selection, and training

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of seven years of business development and marketing experience in a law firm
  • Strong knowledge of relevant Firm computer software programs, including CRM/InterAction and MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel)
  • Current knowledge of industry best practices, trends and techniques
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, verbally and in writing
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Precise attention to detail, proofreading, and fact-checking skills
  • Professional demeanor, high emotional intelligence, and cultural sensitivity
  • Ability to improve and innovate pitch and proposal materials
  • Ability to develop relationships and collaborate with stakeholders
  • Ability to lead and supervise others
  • Ability to learn new software, systems, databases, and procedures quickly
