About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Negotiate judicial settlements with plaintiffs and opposing counsel, within the account’s settlement authority.
- Review the caseload and identify matters with settlement potential.
- Calculate proposal ranges in accordance with established guidelines.
- Formalize settlements, draft settlement agreements, and monitor court approvals.
- Record outcomes and update settlement performance metrics.
- Pursue cost-effective consensual solutions for clients.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Law.
- Active bar admission or successful completion of the bar examination, with bar registration in progress upon proof of approval.
- Six months to two years of experience with settlements, including internship experience.
- Knowledge of Consumer Law and moral damages assessments in consumer-law matters.
- Experience in airline or telecommunications operations is a plus.
- Experience in a settlement or negotiation team within high-volume litigation operations is a plus.
