About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute the standard assurance process across planning, execution and reporting phases
- Partner with international colleagues across multiple time zones
- Create and present detailed reporting using advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Work with a controls management system
- Perform inquiry and data analysis to understand business operations and assess risk
- Develop project scope for complex process areas
- Contribute to engagement timeline and approach planning
- Evaluate records, documents, methods, policies, costs and other factors against policies, best practices, accounting principles, and legal requirements
- Identify risk areas and remediation tactics
- Apply assurance procedures to test controls and address significant risks
- Prepare assurance work papers documenting root cause, work performed, investigations and recommendations
- Formulate conclusions and document findings based on testing results
- Determine control effectiveness
- Identify assurance findings and recommend corrective actions
- Assist team members with assurance methodology and standards
- Identify improvements to assurance methodology, tools and training
- Support department objectives and perform other assigned duties
- Put customers first and improve their experience through seamless digital options
Requirements
What you’ll need- Qualified Accountant or Auditor (ACA, ACCA, CMA, CIA or equivalent) with post-qualified experience in accounting, audit, or a related field
- Strong experience in internal controls, risk, or assurance environments
- Foundational understanding of technology concepts and IT controls
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret, challenge, and derive insights from complex information
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience presenting and delivering training
- Highly organised and adaptable
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and deliver high-quality outputs in fast-paced environments
- Appropriate right to work in the UK
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance
- Flexibility to work variable schedules and overtime as necessary
