About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own customer readiness from qualified opportunity through live, running dock program across regions and the dock business
  • Lead and develop Senior Managers and create management pathways for Readiness Specialists
  • Set regional outcomes, coach managers, and scale the function while maintaining readiness standards
  • Own launch reviews, capacity decisions, and escalation paths when demand exceeds readiness supply
  • Own time-to-launch, readiness gate adherence, and capacity modeling across the dock portfolio
  • Engage readiness early on council calendars, policy drafting, staffing decisions, and site access
  • Partner with Sales and Solutions Engineering leadership on pipeline, site feasibility, and launch sequencing
  • Represent the Launch Team in forecast, planning, and executive reviews and surface launch risks
  • Develop and maintain readiness playbooks covering site readiness, policy and approval, flight readiness, documentation, and handoff criteria
  • Project-manage customers to readiness by owning plans, sequences, dependencies, and launch dates
  • Define readiness clearly for customers and enforce readiness gates
  • Drive systemic fixes for recurring blockers
  • Represent the aggregated customer voice to Product and Engineering and escalate cross-team conflicts
  • Apply lessons from council and community meetings to future agency preparation
  • Ensure clean post-launch handoff to Customer Success with configuration, policy commitments, and readiness documentation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in customer-facing operations, deployment, implementation, or project delivery, including time in a public safety or regulated environment
  • 2+ years leading leaders, with experience managing managers or a team requiring a second management layer
  • Experience guiding customers or agencies through public approval processes, including council or board authorization, public comment, privacy and data retention policy, or community engagement
  • Experience building organizations through fast growth and repeatable processes in ambiguous environments
  • Familiarity with Drone as First Responder concepts of operation and dock-based remote operations
  • Fluency in capacity models, forecast discipline, and resource-allocation judgment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to travel approximately 30% of the time
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs unaided
  • FAA Part 107 certification within the first 60 days is strongly encouraged for all employees and required for certain positions
  • Prior public safety service or agency-side Drone as First Responder program experience preferred
  • Direct experience with sUAS or surveillance technology policy, including CJIS, records retention, community oversight ordinances, or state privacy requirements preferred
  • Experience with dock-based, remote, and BVLOS operations at scale, site survey, RF and LTE assessment, and network readiness for fixed installations preferred
  • Experience owning a customer onboarding or implementation function through rapid growth preferred
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce, Palantir, Databricks, or equivalents preferred
