About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve large clients with diverse use cases in the Japan business
  • Bridge technical discovery and implementation for customers
  • Understand and articulate customer needs and demonstrate Skydio’s drone product features
  • Create customer-specific demonstration plans with Product and Sales teams
  • Handle system demonstrations, including equipment setup, operation, and troubleshooting
  • Lead system validation, customer implementation, and successful deployment processes
  • Assist with responses for RFIs, RFPs, and other technical documentation
  • Represent the voice of the customer and influence product development and engineering strategies through field feedback
  • Support go-to-market strategies and business activities
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Account Executives
  • Report directly to the Country Manager for Japan

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Solid technical background in professional drone applications, radio systems, networks, software, security, prototyping, and electronics
  • Good understanding of the small uncrewed aircraft regulatory landscape
  • Relevant experience serving major industries including Defense, electrical utilities, architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC)
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, adaptable to various audience levels
  • Proven track record of implementing new technologies for diverse clients and collaborating with technical teams to meet project timelines
  • At least 2 years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent mix of education and professional experience
  • Japanese native speaker
  • Ability to read and write English; communication required
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 70% of the time
  • Japan drone certification is a plus (一等/二等無人航空機操縦士)
