About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Demonstrate Skydio's end-to-end solutions for public safety sUAS operations across a territory of state and local government agencies
Collaborate with public safety agencies to understand needs and develop tailored drone solutions
Conduct product demonstrations and integrate technology into customer operations and data management systems
Support integrations with CAD, dispatch, video management, evidence management, and streaming platforms
Own site assessment quality and verify dock locations before deployment
Run structured proofs of concept tied to active opportunities with measurable operational value
Support BVLOS approvals, waivers, COAs, and remote and docked operations
Gather and analyze customer feedback to inform product improvements
Work cross-functionally with Key Account Leaders, Engineering, Product, and Customer Success
Prepare and execute Customer Success Plans
Support deal progression, customer confidence, successful deployments, and long-term public safety sUAS program success

Requirements

What you’ll need

Seasoned Public Safety sUAS professional
Strong understanding of drone technology, Public Safety sUAS operations, and regulatory compliance
Familiarity with Drone as First Responder concepts of operation and dock-based remote operations
Working knowledge of public safety software platforms, including CAD and VMS
Working knowledge of API integrations
Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills in high-pressure situations
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Comfort operating inside a Sales organization
Active FAA Part 107 Certificate
Ability to travel 50 to 75% of the time
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs unaided
Prior public safety service as a sworn officer, firefighter, or agency UAS program lead is nice to have
Experience standing up a Drone as First Responder program from waiver through go-live is nice to have
Experience with dock-based, remote, and BVLOS operations at scale is nice to have
Familiarity with grant funding pathways and cooperative purchasing vehicles is nice to have
Working knowledge of Salesforce, Palantir, Databricks, or equivalents is nice to have
