About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own and deliver against annual and quarterly dental wholesale revenue targets.
  • Develop sales strategy and pipeline for independent dental practices, dental groups, and relevant professional accounts.
  • Prospect, qualify, and convert new dental practices into Slate wholesale customers.
  • Increase reorder frequency, average account value, and product adoption within existing accounts.
  • Monitor sales pipeline, forecasting, conversion rates, and account performance.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of dentists, hygienists, dental practices, and professional prospects.
  • Develop existing Dental Professional Program relationships and deepen engagement.
  • Nurture leads from introduction through product trial, recommendation, and wholesale adoption.
  • Develop dental advocates, educators, referral partners, and strategic accounts.
  • Create scalable outreach and follow-up processes.
  • Develop strategies and tools that increase dental professional recommendations.
  • Partner with marketing on sales materials, professional education, sampling programs, and clinical resources.
  • Identify opportunities for advocacy, referrals, testimonials, educational partnerships, and product recommendations.
  • Establish measures for recommendation frequency and effectiveness.
  • Strengthen Slate’s dentist-recommended electric flosser positioning.
  • Identify partnerships, associations, conferences, dental groups, education opportunities, and strategic channels.
  • Bring dental professional insights to product development, marketing, education, and commercial strategy.
  • Generate professional proof points supporting Slate’s positioning.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of experience in sales, business development, professional partnerships, or account management, ideally within dental, oral care, medical device, healthcare, or professional beauty/wellness.
  • Existing knowledge of—or relationships within—the dental professional ecosystem is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build a sales pipeline and independently take prospects from outreach through close.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and comfort communicating with dentists, hygienists, practice owners, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Experience growing wholesale, B2B, or professional recommendation channels.
  • Comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial environment where strategy and execution often happen simultaneously.
  • Highly self-directed, organized, and accountable to measurable commercial goals.
  • Strong understanding of how professional recommendation and advocacy can influence consumer adoption.
  • Able to translate feedback from customers and professionals into actionable commercial strategies.
