About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assist in deploying and maintaining cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP
Configure and support compute, storage, networking, and other cloud resources
Perform environment maintenance, system updates, and patching
Monitor cloud systems for uptime, performance, and capacity
Respond to incidents and support requests, troubleshooting or escalating infrastructure issues
Participate in the 24/7 on-call rotation and restore services according to runbooks and service level objectives
Write and maintain basic automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, or Bash
Assist with CI/CD pipelines for cloud deployments
Use infrastructure-as-code tools and template libraries to provision cloud resources
Collaborate with DevOps and development teams on build and deployment pipelines
Troubleshoot pipeline issues and implement minor enhancements
Pursue ongoing learning and professional development in cloud engineering
Stay current with emerging cloud operations practices and AI-assisted operations tools
Suggest improvements to operational workflows and tooling
Gradually take on more complex tasks as proficiency increases

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or a related field
Approximately 2–4 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure or cloud engineering/support roles
Prior exposure to production cloud environments and operational support processes
Working knowledge of at least one major public cloud platform, such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
Familiarity with fundamental cloud services: compute, storage, networking, and databases
Basic cloud architecture knowledge, including virtual machines, VPC/VNet, and security groups
Understanding of cloud security and backup practices
Experience with scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, or Bash
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control, such as Jenkins, Git, or Azure DevOps
Basic understanding of infrastructure-as-code concepts, such as CloudFormation or Terraform
Experience with system monitoring, alerting tools, system logs, and metrics
Ability to follow standard operating procedures and runbooks to troubleshoot incidents
Comfortable working in a rotational on-call support environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Team-oriented, coachable, and receptive to feedback
Customer-service mindset supporting internal stakeholders
Flexible and adaptable to changing tools and processes
Exposure to Google Cloud Platform services or multi-cloud deployments
Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure or Oracle Fusion Cloud applications is an asset
Experience supporting or integrating with eCommerce platforms such as BigCommerce or similar
Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services
Experience using Dynatrace or Datadog for infrastructure monitoring and alerting
