About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Supplement the skillset and offering of the existing SLR Africa Civils & Infrastructure and Geotechnical Engineering teams
- Provide technical and administrative support to the Civil Engineering team
- Assist with project planning, design, and execution activities
- Participate in site visits, inspections, and field investigations
- Support preparation of reports, drawings, calculations, and project documentation
- Assist with data collection, analysis, and engineering assessments
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Contribute to successful delivery of engineering projects while gaining practical industry experience
Requirements
What you’ll need- BSc (Eng), BEng Civil engineering or an equivalent degree
- Willingness to travel to sites around South Africa and potentially Africa for short durations
- Strong skills in all Microsoft Office packages
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be willing to travel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Eagerness to learn and develop professionally
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and proactive
- Willingness to travel and undertake site-based work when required
- Commitment to safety, quality, and professional standards
