About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a trusted partner to assigned business group leadership in North America on people-related priorities and initiatives
  • Collaborate with People Operations Americas, Talent Acquisition, and Centres of Expertise on core people processes
  • Support performance management, talent development, succession planning, and compensation programs
  • Advise and coach managers on policy, employee relations, performance management, and engagement matters
  • Support integration of new acquisitions, including onboarding and cultural alignment
  • Support workforce planning, capability-gap identification, resourcing strategies, recruitment, and retention efforts
  • Facilitate performance calibration, talent reviews, and succession planning discussions
  • Contribute to global People team projects and process improvements
  • Support employee engagement, SLR principles, and positive employee culture initiatives
  • Participate in learning and development initiatives and guide career progression, skill development, and professional growth

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline from a recognized Canadian or US institution
  • 12+ years of progressive HR experience, including HR business partnering within multi-location and complex organizational environments
  • Ability to partner effectively with managers and leaders, building strong relationships and providing practical guidance
  • Experience supporting integration of new teams or acquisitions is an advantage
  • Strong understanding of performance management, talent development, succession planning, and compensation
  • Experience and knowledge of US employment legislation across multiple states; Canadian legislation experience is an advantage
  • Good commercial awareness and understanding of how HR supports business objectives
  • Knowledge of employee engagement drivers and experience supporting culture and engagement initiatives
  • Ability to coach and advise managers on employee relations and people management issues
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills across multiple teams and functions
  • Practical experience with HR systems; Workday experience preferred
  • Professional HR qualifications such as CHRP, CHRL, PHR, or SHRM-CP preferred
