About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain, support, and improve the global infrastructure platform across on-premises and cloud environments
  • Provide deep technical expertise across servers, storage, LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi networking, virtualisation, backup and disaster recovery, and monitoring systems
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and provide third-line technical support
  • Maintain Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 environments, including installation, configuration, patch management, and lifecycle management
  • Manage Active Directory, Entra ID, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, OU structure, and replication
  • Support hybrid identity, MFA, Conditional Access, and identity governance baselines
  • Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot VMware vSphere/ESXi or Hyper-V platforms
  • Perform server builds, OS hardening, patching, software deployment, and configuration baseline enforcement
  • Support Azure VMs, storage accounts, VNets, NSGs, load balancers, recovery vaults, Azure Backup, and Site Recovery
  • Assist with AVD, image management, FSLogix profiles, and session host maintenance
  • Administer SAN/NAS platforms and manage storage provisioning, LUNs, shares, quotas, snapshots, and performance tuning
  • Operate backup systems and contribute to disaster recovery testing, documentation, and RPO/RTO validation
  • Support VLANs, switch configuration, firewall rule updates, packet tracing, SD-WAN/VPN monitoring, Wi-Fi management, and connectivity diagnostics
  • Use monitoring platforms to detect performance issues and faults
  • Support PowerShell scripting and automation for routine infrastructure tasks
  • Perform root-cause analysis and contribute to problem remediation plans
  • Execute approved changes with risk assessment, rollback planning, and stakeholder communication
  • Participate in infrastructure upgrades, migrations, server refreshes, cloud onboarding, and network modernisation projects
  • Assist with datacentre rack/stack, cabling, hypervisor upgrades, storage refreshes, and backup platform improvements
  • Support global standardisation of builds, tools, and infrastructure frameworks
  • Create and maintain build documents, infrastructure diagrams, asset/configuration records, and knowledge bases
  • Operate under the guidance of the Regional Infrastructure Manager across regional offices, datacentres, remote sites, and cloud workloads

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Professional experience in IT support, minimum 3+ years under Service Desk, systems administration, networking, or cloud operations
  • Strong experience supporting core infrastructure technologies including servers, storage, networking, and VMs
  • Solid hands-on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory/Entra ID, Group Policy, and enterprise management platforms
  • Practical knowledge of virtualisation using VMware/Hyper-V and cloud systems, with Azure preferred
  • Experience with patching, monitoring, and configuration-management tools
  • Understanding of backup, replication, and disaster-recovery concepts
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across multiple domains
  • Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder-engagement skills
  • IT Degree in Computer Science or similar
  • Desirable: experience working in a global or multi-site environment
  • Desirable: familiarity with AVD, O365, M365, and endpoint-management technologies
  • Desirable: exposure to enterprise networking, including routing, switching, firewalling, and VPN
  • Desirable: knowledge of cybersecurity practices, vulnerability management, and compliance frameworks
  • Desirable: experience with ITIL processes, including incident, change, and problem management
  • Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, CompTIA, or ITIL certifications/memberships listed in the posting
