About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform on-site and remote commissioning and on-site BlueNote repairs
  • Provide third-level technical support for complex and unresolved customer inquiries, including field engineering engagements
  • Act as the primary customer contact when required
  • Serve as an expert technical resource and mentor for the first- and second-level Home and Business Service team
  • Work with R&D to optimize inverter and communications product design, performance, and serviceability
  • Assist in developing and delivering advanced Home and Business training content
  • Develop and maintain a structured database of technical information, work instructions, and processes
  • Create and maintain FAQs and best practices
  • Document and ensure compliance with prevailing wage requirements
  • Arrange and maintain travel plans and expense compliance through the company travel system
  • Conduct case quality audits and provide training to the Service team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a technical support role or equivalent
  • Experience in solar electric PV installation, system design or inspection
  • Training in residential and commercial solar products and systems
  • Advanced troubleshooting and technical support skills
  • Expertise in solar electric PV systems
  • Strong communication, problem solving and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in English and Microsoft Office
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Flexibility to work nonstandard hours
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full time basis
  • Candidates must not currently or in the future require employment visa sponsorship
  • Candidates operating under a temporary work permit or visa-tied employment authorization are not eligible
