About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provides front line support to Transportation Analysts and the Transportation Manager
  • Enters shipments into the Transportation Management System (TMS)
  • Tracks and traces shipments in transit and resolves issues
  • Coordinates large-scale project shipments from import through delivery to site
  • Handles higher-complexity tasks and projects
  • Provides training and direction to Transportation Coordinators
  • Tracks KPIs for bill of lading and label creation, and freight quotes for the sales organization
  • Provides rate quotes
  • Maintains transportation records and reports delivery times and delays
  • Acts as liaison between customers and carriers
  • Supports TMS maintenance to keep rates and transit times accurate
  • Supports customs-related activities as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 2 years of experience in a coordination or administrative role
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook
  • Proficiency in written and verbal English
  • Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full time basis
  • Candidates must not currently or in the future require employment visa sponsorship
  • Candidates operating under a temporary work permit or visa-tied employment authorization are not eligible
