About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and build custom AI workflows and agents from scratch for Smartcat’s strategic customers
Partner with business leaders and technical teams to scope high-value AI use cases and define success metrics
Identify AI opportunities that deliver ROI, efficiency, and competitive advantage, and build business cases
Design, build, and deploy custom AI solutions using structured and unstructured customer data
Work with vector databases, MCP, RAG, and semantic and keyword search across customer knowledge bases
Own customer engagements from ideation through delivery and drive adoption and measurable outcomes
Collaborate in customer pods with Strategic Account Executives, Technical Account Managers, and Forward Deployed Engineers
Train customer teams, support onboarding and change management, and embed solutions into daily operations
Surface customer needs and insights to inform Smartcat’s product roadmap
Contribute playbooks, reusable solution patterns, and case studies
Learn Smartcat’s platform and AI tooling during onboarding, build and test an initial customer solution by day 60, and own a customer engagement by day 90

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience in a customer-facing AI, solutions, consulting, or technical role, ideally in B2B SaaS or enterprise environments
Track record of building AI-powered workflows, agents, or automations that solved real business problems
Hands-on experience with AI coding tools such as Claude, Cursor, Cline, or similar (“vibe coding”)
Hands-on experience building with Python
Familiarity with vector databases, MCP, RAG, and agent design
Comfort with the command line, basic Linux administration, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP)
Ability to translate ambiguous business problems into practical, scalable AI solutions and drive projects end to end
Ability to engage technical stakeholders and senior executives and translate between them
Experience delivering solutions in complex enterprise organizations and fast-moving startup environments
Experience with change management and customer enablement
Flexibility to travel for customer engagements
Leading cross-functional initiatives or teams is a nice to have
