About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Express medical specifications as data queries using software language accessible to non-technical individuals
Research and write simplified healthcare code for eCQMs and CDS-Hooks
Research FHIR healthcare data models, CQL healthcare logic expressions, and healthcare definitional models
Design test plans to ensure code generates correct FHIR data
Generate sample data to exercise test plans and criteria
Document, maintain, and publish results in FHIR Implementation Guides
Collaborate with healthcare specialists, clinicians, and terminologists to understand requirements and test implementations
Provide expert feedback on prior authorization policies, including complexity, scope, and effort analysis
Identify and capture best practices and lessons learned
Maintain the confidentiality, privacy, and integrity of company information
Comply with company privacy, security, and confidentiality policies

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum 5 years of experience as a clinical informaticist, data scientist, software developer or another relevant role
Healthcare technology experience is required
Experience with Clinical Decision Support algorithms is preferred
Experience with Clinical Quality measures is highly preferred
Prior Authorization Adjudication Algorithms experience is beneficial
Experience with FHIR is highly preferred
Experience with query language(s), such as SQL, would be considered an asset
Post-Secondary education in computer science or a related field of study or comparable related work experience
Excellent computer literacy skills and abilities
Strong collaborative and verbal and written communication skills
Proven creative problem-solving and critical thinking with strong analytical skills and attention to detail
High level of self-motivation, drive, and enthusiasm coupled with integrity and professionalism
Experience in programming and/or programming tools is preferred, but not required
