About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Report to the HSSC Executive Director
- Oversee and lead simulated participant recruitment, scheduling, contracted payment, communications, orientation, and training across all HSSC campuses
- Develop and oversee Simulated Participant policies and procedures
- Recruit, hire, onboard, schedule, and maintain database records for simulated participants across four SMU campuses
- Create standardized simulated participant training programs, materials, and communication templates
- Manage simulated participant retention, engagement, contracts, grievances, feedback, and development activities
- Facilitate faculty training and collaborate with faculty on scenario scripts and training sessions
- Assist with virtual and complex-scenario training and address simulated participant questions
- Manage simulated participant meals and P-card reconciliation according to SMU policies
- Track feedback, activities, budgets, utilization data, and accreditation requirements
- Prepare meeting agendas, coordinate program meetings, and update the HSSC team
- Operate technical resources, including Educational Management Solutions (EMS), for simulation facilitation
- Facilitate educational and simulation scholarship activities
- Step in as a simulated participant when cancellations or staffing needs occur
- Lead planning and maintenance of Human Simulation accreditation data
- Ensure standardized HSSC simulated participant processes are followed
- Onboard faculty and HSSC team members to standardized processes
- Create continuing education opportunities and support quality improvement initiatives
- Collaborate on Society for Simulation Accreditation for Human Simulation application submissions
- Respond to simulated participant program inquiries across all SMU campuses
- Attend HSSC staff meetings and perform other duties as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Baccalaureate degree required
- Experience coaching or mentoring others
- Previous experience working with standardized or simulated participants
- Knowledge of the latest version of Microsoft productivity tools such as Word and Excel
- Effective navigation of the Internet and library databases as a resource and research tool
- Demonstrated commitment to service excellence
- Demonstrated administrative, organizational, and prioritizing skills
- Demonstrated good judgment and critical thinking skills
- Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new systems and software
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Excellent writing skills
- Interpersonal skills supporting optimal public relations for the CSL & SP Program
- Ability to work independently and solve problems creatively
- Supervising experience preferred
- Ability to speak, hear, stand, walk, and sit; use hands for fine motor movements
- Ability to participate in clinical simulation scenarios as an actor when needed
- Regular use of computer monitors and keyboards
