About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support and manage disputes and litigation matters across their full lifecycle, from initial case assessment through resolution
  • Review and advise on litigation-related contractual provisions in commercial agreements
  • Manage and coordinate responses to subpoenas, garnishment orders, domestic relations orders, statutory information requests, and requests from government and law enforcement agencies
  • Advise business stakeholders on litigation risks and issues in business disputes
  • Weigh legal risks and benefits of complex situations and propose practical, business-oriented solutions
  • Support bankruptcy-related matters, including proofs of claim, adversary proceedings, preference demand letters, and creditor inquiries
  • Assist with internal investigations involving legal risks to Snowflake
  • Partner with outside counsel on discovery, motion practice, and litigation strategy
  • Develop and improve scalable litigation processes and procedures, including litigation holds, matter tracking, and document management
  • Develop and maintain internal resources, templates, and playbooks for litigation management
  • Collaborate with the Legal team, outside counsel, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Report to the Director, Assistant General Counsel - Litigation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • JD from an accredited law school
  • Active membership in at least one state bar
  • Ability to practice in the jurisdiction in which this position is located
  • Minimum of 3 years of legal experience with substantive litigation experience at a law firm, in-house, or both
  • Familiarity with commercial disputes and contractual dispute resolution provisions
  • Experience managing or supporting responses to subpoenas and government inquiries preferred
  • Ability to explain complicated legal concepts in plain language
  • Strong organizational skills and comfort working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Must follow Snowflake’s confidentiality and security standards for handling sensitive data
  • Must abide by the company’s data security plan
  • Must be authorized to work in the country to which applying
