About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead scoping, architecture, and technical direction for multiple customer-focused Forward Deployed Engineer teams
Design, build, and deploy robust software systems, tooling, and automation supporting customer solutions on Snowflake
Build prototypes, contribute to product feature development, and fix product problems
Partner with clients to understand business challenges and design, build, and implement data solutions on Snowflake
Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training on data management, analytics, AI/ML capabilities, and reporting/BI integration
Design scalable data pipelines and modern data architectures on Snowflake
Ensure data quality, integrity, and efficient processing
Analyze and optimize data models, queries, and data processing workflows for performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness
Evaluate, recommend, and implement modern data integration tools and techniques
Troubleshoot technical challenges, performance bottlenecks, and operational issues
Act as a trusted technical advisor to help customers achieve business value and success with Snowflake

Requirements

What you’ll need

Prior experience working with customers on complex, multi-faceted projects
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python, Go, Java or C++
Experience with developing AI/ML applications
Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing and data lake concepts, and cloud data platforms
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a client-facing environment
Big plus: prior experience delivering complex data-driven application migrations
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
Must follow Snowflake confidentiality and security standards and data security plan
