About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build a deep understanding of regulated-industry compliance requirements and how they apply to Snowflake
Establish and run programs managing Snowflake's compliance posture, including readiness, external communication, and leading customer and regulator audits
Become an expert on Snowflake's control environment, security features, and best practices for customer deployments
Serve as a trusted advisor on Snowflake's security and compliance obligations and documentation, responding to customer and regulator inquiries
Build self-service resources so customers and field teams can increasingly answer compliance questions independently
Join sales conversations to explain Snowflake's security and compliance capabilities
Partner with leaders across IT, Legal, Product, Security, and Engineering to strengthen security posture and build customer trust

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of experience in risk management, compliance, GRC, or a related governance function preferred
Proven program management experience, including leading cross-functional initiatives without direct authority over contributors
Experience writing and maintaining governance artifacts, including policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines
Ability to influence stakeholders across Engineering, IT, Legal, and Security to drive control implementation and remediation
Solid knowledge of at least one recognized governance or risk framework, such as ISO 27001, SOC 1/SOC 2, or NIST CSF
Ability to translate governance requirements into practical controls and processes that operational teams actually adopt, going beyond policy authorship
Experience using AI to automate or streamline manual compliance workflows
US Personhood required due to the nature of covered federal data and government authorization work
CISSP, CRISC, CISA, or other information security certifications
Experience with NIST 800-53 or HIPAA
