About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide strong technical leadership across the entire AIM Virtualization product suite, including runtime, tools and utilities, and deployment
Drive an AI-based development process across the platform, from requirements analysis and design through development, validation, and release
Collaborate with product managers, solution architects, and field engineering to empower customers
Define and improve engineering processes around AI-based software synthesis workflows
Solve large-scale business needs using software engineering and analytical problem-solving skills
Shape development processes for one of Snowflake's strategic new products

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years of experience building and operating large-scale systems and enterprise software
8+ years of experience managing expert engineering teams
Track record of owning the full software development lifecycle from inception to release
Comprehensive background in SQL and/or other functional programming languages
Solid knowledge of database internals, with emphasis on query parsing, query optimization, and query execution
MS/PhD in Computer Science, databases, high-performance computing, or related fields
Must be within commuting distance of, or open to relocation to, the local Snowflake office
Currently authorized to work in the country to which applying
