About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Present Snowflake’s technology and vision to executives and technical contributors at prospects and customers
- Work hands-on with prospects and customers throughout the sales cycle, from demo to proof of concept to design and implementation
- Create and develop technical champions in accounts to drive deals and achieve a technical win
- Present Snowflake roadmap features and functionality to customers and prospects
- Maintain knowledge of competitive and complementary technologies and vendors and position Snowflake accordingly
- Collaborate with other sales engineers and learn from wins and losses
- Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to improve Snowflake products and marketing
- Represent Snowflake at industry and customer events
- Work with ecosystem and implementation partners on joint architectures, account strategies, and customer-success initiatives
- Contribute to and co-develop account and territory plans and execute them with the broader internal and external ecosystem
- Solve complex customer problems and translate product features into business solutions for technical and business audiences
Requirements
What you’ll need- Solution engineering/solution architect experience in a SaaS environment or relevant industry experience (analytics, data science, data engineering, etc.)
- Outstanding presentation skills for technical and executive audiences, including impromptu whiteboarding, presentations, and demos
- Understanding of and experience with data architecture, data analytics, and cloud technology
- Hands-on experience with SQL
- Ability to solve customer-specific business problems and apply Snowflake’s solutions
- Customer-facing written and verbal communication skills for technical and executive audiences
- Fluency or native Dutch
- Preferred but not required: hands-on experience with Python
- Preferred but not required: experience with modern data technology such as dbt, Spark, containers, DevOps tooling, orchestration tools, and Git
- Preferred but not required: experience with AI, data science, and machine learning technologies
- Must reside within commuting distance of, or be open to relocation to, the local Snowflake office
- Must be currently authorized to work in the country to which applying
