About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Shape what Snowflake builds and how customers experience its products
  • Partner with product, design, engineering, and marketing leads to set priorities
  • Develop expertise in customer needs, product areas, and business objectives
  • Lead qualitative and quantitative research using appropriate methods and rigor
  • Make product and go-to-market decisions with cross-functional partners
  • Work through tradeoffs, build alignment, and carry decisions through launch and adoption
  • Combine customer research, product usage data, and prior findings to identify opportunities
  • Identify and deliberately apply AI to strengthen research
  • Maintain customer information confidentiality and security

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of industry user research experience
  • Deep experience across qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Ability to explain research approach, limitations, and evidence sufficiency
  • Track record of earning the trust of cross-functional leads
  • Experience working through difficult product or go-to-market tradeoffs
  • Experience connecting customer needs to product and business goals
  • Experience using product usage data alongside primary research
  • Experience applying AI in research and exercising judgment about its use
  • Compliance with Snowflake confidentiality and security standards
  • Compliance with the company data security plan
  • Must be authorized to work in the country to which applying
  • Must be within commuting distance of, or open to relocation to, the designated local Snowflake office(s)
