About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Implement well-scoped tasks and projects across the stack, including Java and Python services hosted in Kubernetes and Snowpark Container Services
  • Learn and participate in the full software lifecycle from design through deployment support
  • Take accountability for the quality, completeness, and customer experience of owned work
  • Seek and incorporate feedback from peers, stakeholders, and design reviews
  • Learn component requirements, use cases, and architecture while developing proficiency in a feature area
  • Participate in development, testing, bug fixing, triage, and support rotation
  • Collaborate with product management, design, and other cross-functional team members
  • Build intelligent data applications that provide insight into diagnostic data and technical content relevant to customer issues
  • Help reduce customer friction and enable customers and internal technical resources to resolve issues

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • B.S. or M.S. degree in CS, MIS, or equivalent discipline
  • Internship or professional experience is a plus
  • Working knowledge of modern application design, good API design patterns, and the basics of performance and scale
  • Proficiency in at least one of Python, Java, Scala, or GoLang
  • Familiarity with unit testing, code reviews, and design documentation
  • Ability to debug own code and develop troubleshooting skills in a cloud environment
  • Ability to write high-quality, readable, maintainable code with consideration for performance, operability, and maintainability
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Interest in working with diverse peers and external developers
  • Desire to contribute to team morale, help onboard new hires and interns, and work on team needs
  • Genuine enjoyment of building software and learning new things
  • In-office attendance is an essential function; candidate must reside within commuting distance or be open to relocation to the local Snowflake office
