About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the expansion of Snowplow's Firn data and AI platform
Design and own the GTM intelligence engine that determines who to engage, how to engage them, and learns from outcomes
Bring existing GTM services onto Firn's unified platform foundation
Build agents and tools on the factory framework with review steps and evaluations
Own and evolve the MCP gateway, LLM gateway, tracing, factory framework, and ledger
Establish production-grade version control, CI, alerting, recovery, cost visibility, documentation, and handover
Move operational rules into versioned platform code and expose tools as platform-driven endpoints
Implement learning loops that record platform actions and outcomes
Own evaluation and tracing infrastructure for embedded and forward-deployed engineers
Set the Applied AI team's engineering bar and own the platform roadmap
Work with data engineers and internal customers across Marketing, Sales, Account Management, and Partnerships
Report to the Senior Director of Applied AI and retain ownership of GTM services after handover

Requirements

What you’ll need

Years of production software experience designing, shipping, and running systems other teams depend on
Production experience with Python or TypeScript, SQL, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure
Experience building LLM systems used in real work, including agents with tools, MCP servers, gateways, tracing, and evaluation
Experience building platforms used by internal teams or customers through designed interfaces
Data platform fluency with Snowflake or an equivalent warehouse, dbt, data contracts, and pipelines connecting warehouse data with SaaS tools
Operational discipline with alerting, recovery, runbooks, and cost tracking
Ability to determine which decisions should be deterministic code, agent-driven, or handled by a person
An AI-native workflow, agent, or tool built and still used; willingness to demonstrate it during the interview process
Comfort working with non-engineering internal customers
Experience setting technical direction for a platform followed by other engineers
Ability to participate in a working session using AI on a real task and a design conversation on an existing system
