About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create and execute the city's strategy, including monthly show volume, neighborhoods, themes, and growth plans
- Lead artist and venue curation and booking
- Own local promotion and ticket sales through social media, community relationships, press, and grassroots tactics
- Own staffing and show quality, ensuring hospitable experiences for guests, artists, and venues
- Manage the city's financial performance and event profitability
- Build relationships with local businesses to sell sponsorships and private events
- Partner with local organizations to build community, broaden reach, and co-promote shows
- Collaborate with local leaders and global Sofar producers
- Support Business Partnerships and Global Communities teams with curation and execution for brand partnership activations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Excitement about Sofar's mission and format
- Deep connections to the local scene and an existing network of artists, venues, and community connectors
- 3–5 years of experience in live event curation, production, or promotions
- Proven ability to sell tickets and grow an audience through social media, partnerships, press, and community outreach
- Experience selling event sponsorships or marketing activations, ideally in live events or experiential marketing
- Confidence pitching concepts and closing partnership deals
- Strong knowledge of the local city's neighborhoods, audiences, and leisure destinations
- Ability to build relationships with community organizations, media partners, and local businesses
- Understanding of live-event economics and event profitability
- Entrepreneurial and resourceful approach
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a larger community and organization
- Clear communication, time management, and professionalism
