About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Curate, produce and promote Sofar Singles events in London end to end
  • Build the vision for London singles programming, including show volume, neighbourhoods, themes and formats
  • Own ticket sales and profitability for every show
  • Create and grow independent social, community, mailing-list and messaging channels
  • Run self-directed marketing through content, influencer collaborations, paid social, guerrilla activations and word of mouth
  • Identify audience segments and tailor messaging, channels and event formats
  • Build co-promotion partnerships with community organisations, collectives, clubs, brands and local networks
  • Develop and execute strategies to attract men and maintain gender balance
  • Design event flow, activities and icebreakers that encourage natural connections
  • Select venues and programming suited to London audiences
  • Curate and book diverse artists and venues
  • Own event quality, hospitality and guest experience
  • Collaborate with Sofar London and Global Communities teams
  • Share learnings and help shape broader singles initiatives
  • Build local business relationships for sponsorships and private event activations
  • Track sell-through, ticket sales, channel growth, gender balance, profit margins, guest satisfaction, connection, event quality, and artist and venue diversity

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1–3+ years of experience in event production, promotion, nightlife, live event curation, community building, social media marketing, sales or partnerships
  • Experience with singles mixers, speed dating or connection-driven events is a strong plus
  • Existing audience or network that can be activated, such as a following, community, promoter network or strong partnerships
  • Proven track record of selling tickets through own channels
  • Experience organising, attending or taking part in singles events
  • Concrete, tested ideas for attracting men and maintaining balanced rooms
  • Strong knowledge of London’s social and dating culture, neighbourhoods, venues and experiences
  • Frequent event attendance and venue, format and partner scouting
  • Commercially minded and data-driven; able to track results and optimise performance
  • Confidence pitching event concepts and partnership ideas; sponsorship or marketing activation experience is ideal
  • Professionalism, ownership and hospitality
  • Highly organised, clear communicator and able to work independently
  • Willingness to work primarily evenings and weekends
