Key responsibilities & impact

Design, build, and maintain highly scalable and reliable systems aligned with company goals and technical standards
Define, communicate, and enforce coding standards, design principles, and development methodologies
Drive architectural decisions and align technical strategies and roadmaps with stakeholders
Lead complex projects from conception through delivery with engineering, product, and design teams
Identify technical challenges, propose solutions, and mitigate risks
Own end-to-end system and application performance, security, and reliability
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and foster continuous learning
Provide constructive feedback during code reviews
Collaborate with engineers and other departments on feature and technology integration
Implement best practices, tools, and processes to improve efficiency, code quality, and system performance
Conduct root cause analysis and drive long-term improvements
Stay current with emerging technologies and introduce innovative solutions
Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Participate in senior leadership technical discussions and strategic decision-making
Gather and address stakeholder feedback to align with business goals

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years of software development experience, with a strong background in large-scale systems and application architecture
Proven experience in one or more programming languages, such as Python, Java, C++, or JavaScript
Experience with Python, Go, Flask, FastAPI, AWS, Angular, and TypeScript-based technologies
Deep understanding of software design patterns, architecture, and best practices, including DDD
Experience with cloud technologies, distributed systems, and microservices architecture
Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD, and automation
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience
Candidates must have the right to work in the jurisdiction where they will work
Preferred: experience in a Tech Lead or Staff Engineer role
Preferred: familiarity with modern frontend frameworks and data engineering best practices
