About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Represent Solar Alternatives as an industry leader for resilient clean energy solutions
- Develop and maintain customer relationships for potential and active partnerships
- Conduct outreach and presentations to organizations and professional firms
- Develop conceptual client projects with the engineering department
- Manage customer communication regarding project concepts and technical needs
- Support project estimating and revisions toward final proposals
- Execute closing documents and supporting documentation for project origination
- Coordinate comprehensive project handoffs with the Operations Department
- Follow up with Operations and clients to ensure a strong customer experience
- Attend and support industry events and industry partnerships
- Manage Salesforce CRM and filesystem information for communication and documentation
- Maintain a clear and accountable schedule for follow-up and development
- Coordinate with marketing on outreach, promotion, and press release opportunities
- Prepare reports tracking portfolio development, client follow-up, and new opportunities
- Transfer relevant opportunities to service, residential, and electric vehicle divisions
- Collaborate with leadership to improve and scale processes
- Identify and mitigate potential portfolio risks
- Track portfolio quality, portfolio growth, and financial goals
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years sales or account management experience
- 3+ years experience in engineering, electrical contracting or solar energy
- Familiarity with CRM software; Salesforce experience preferred
- Outreach and advocacy experience a plus
- Highly organized and very attentive to detail
- Well-spoken, clean appearance and good client manners
- Clean driving record
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive small and large service vehicles
- Drug free
- Ability to work 40–50 daytime hours per week
