About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the Engineering team from the early stages of project opportunities by clarifying scope, identifying technical risks, and defining optimal technical solutions.
  • Conduct or supervise onsite surveys, basic design, and system conception, balancing CAPEX and OPEX.
  • Evaluate technical specifications and purchase order requirements; define project schedules, execution timelines, and staffing needs.
  • Prepare technical specifications and procedures for project execution in collaboration with Engineering.
  • Support Procurement during supplier selection and purchase order issuance.
  • Monitor work in progress, review project specifications, and coordinate with internal and external Engineering/Service teams.
  • Inspect construction sites to verify compliance with design specifications and correct equipment installation.
  • Lead installation, start-up, commissioning activities, and final performance sign-off.
  • Provide technical assistance on existing OEM contracts, including troubleshooting and diagnostics.
  • Coordinate internal or external resources as needed.
  • Manage subcontractor relationships and ensure alignment with Solenis’ core values and project standards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within Operation & Maintenance contracts and strengthen the Solutions Provider strategy.
  • Travel regularly across the territory, approximately 50% of the time, mainly within Italy.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A degree in Technical Engineering, with proven experience in water process selection, design, and implementation of industrial water treatment systems (including F&B applications) and chemical injection packages.
  • 1–2 years of experience in Electrical and Automation systems is highly desirable.
  • Alternatively, Mechanical Engineers with 2–4 years of water treatment experience will also be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, piping, electrical components, material compatibility, and chemical applications.
  • Familiarity with control and monitoring instrumentation, both local and remote modes.
  • Digital capabilities are essential for project implementation.
  • Awareness of relevant international standards and certifications for equipment construction.
  • Fluency in Italian and English (mandatory).
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time, mainly within Italy.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
