About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform installation, start-up, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities on industrial water treatment equipment and dosing systems at customer sites
- Provide technical support and diagnostics remotely and on-site
- Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and recommend improvements
- Support customers operating in Food & Beverage and Industrial Water Treatment applications
- Assess customer needs and identify opportunities for equipment upgrades, retrofits, and optimization projects
- Prepare technical and commercial quotations for equipment, spare parts, service interventions, maintenance contracts, and system upgrades
- Coordinate service activities with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and customers
- Support Sales and Account Management teams with technical expertise during customer visits and project development
- Prepare service reports, technical documentation, equipment assessments, and maintenance recommendations
- Ensure compliance with Solenis safety standards and customer site requirements
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the growth of Solenis' Equipment and Solutions business
Requirements
What you’ll need- A degree or technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanics, Automation, Industrial Maintenance, or a related technical field
- 3-7 years of experience in Field Service, Technical Support, Maintenance Engineering, or Equipment Service roles within industrial environments
- Strong electromechanical troubleshooting skills, including electrical systems, motors, pumps, dosing equipment, instrumentation, and process equipment
- Experience within Water Treatment, Food & Beverage, Utilities, Process Industry, or related sectors
- Knowledge of industrial water treatment technologies, chemical dosing systems, filtration systems, pumping equipment, and process instrumentation
- Experience in preparing and managing technical and commercial offers, service quotations, and project cost estimations
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation
- Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment and industrial automation systems
- Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental requirements in industrial facilities
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Fluency in Italian and a good command of English
- Availability to travel approximately 50-60% of the time within Italy
- Valid driving license
