About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage a portfolio of industrial customers primarily located in Normandy and the Île-de-France region.
  • Ensure continuity and high-quality technical account management, develop existing accounts, and prospect for new customers.
  • Manage the handover and provide regular technical follow-up for assigned accounts.
  • Conduct follow-up visits, sampling, and the necessary analyses.
  • Interpret results, identify deviations, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
  • Develop and monitor treatment plans for cooling towers, boilers, and wastewater treatment plants.
  • Build trusted relationships with site management and production, maintenance, quality, environmental, and procurement teams.
  • Identify growth opportunities within existing customer accounts.
  • Prospect for new sites in Normandy, the Île-de-France region, and northwestern France.
  • Qualify customer needs and develop technical and commercial proposals with Solenis experts.
  • Maintain an active prospect pipeline and contribute to revenue and profitability targets.
  • Independently organize customer visits, priorities, and business development activities.
  • Provide accurate reporting and keep CRM tools up to date.
  • Follow safety requirements and engage internal resources when necessary.
  • Work with the manager, equipment teams, and water treatment experts in France and Europe.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong understanding of industrial water treatment fundamentals and the ability to interpret field analyses.
  • Knowledge of cooling towers and boilers is preferred.
  • Experience managing industrial customers, developing accounts, or conducting business development.
  • Ability to explain technical recommendations and build trusted relationships.
  • Self-motivated, thorough, organized, and persistent.
  • Professional English proficiency, approximately B2 level.
  • Comfortable with the regular travel required for a field-based sales role.
  • Technical training in water treatment, such as a BTS GEMEAU or equivalent qualification, is preferred.
  • Direct experience in a comparable role will be an advantage; more junior candidates may be considered if they have a solid foundation in water treatment, a customer-focused approach, and demonstrated commercial potential.
