About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Analyze customer contracts and identify performance obligations, transaction price, variable consideration, and allocation methodologies under ASC 606
  • Perform revenue treatment assessments for new deals, renewals, amendments, and complex multi-element arrangements
  • Prepare revenue recognition technical memoranda and documentation
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate global revenue recognition policies and procedures
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on ASC 606 and provide accounting guidance on complex revenue transactions
  • Prepare and review revenue-related journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Validate revenue system outputs and revenue schedules
  • Investigate discrepancies and resolve variances between revenue sub-ledgers, billing, and the general ledger
  • Support internal reporting of revenue results, trends, and fluctuations
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, increase automation, and improve operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with Sales, Legal, FP&A, regional accounting, Product, Engineering, and Pricing teams
  • Perform and document key SOX controls related to revenue recognition
  • Prepare audit documentation and respond to external auditor inquiries
  • Strengthen revenue processes, documentation, workflows, and governance practices for compliance and audit readiness

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3-5+ years of experience in revenue recognition, technical accounting, audit, or corporate accounting
  • Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and related technical accounting requirements
  • Experience with complex, global revenue arrangements
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and lead teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Detail oriented, good judgment and logical decision-making ability with a hands-on approach
  • CPA preferred
  • Experience in SaaS, technology, or multi-product global companies preferred
  • Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Oracle, or Cognos preferred
