About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Evaluate bid documents, one-line diagrams, and drawings to generate and submit competitive bids
  • Monitor ordering activities associated with bid projects to ensure pricing and terms accuracy
  • Communicate proactively with customers throughout the quotation and bid process
  • Formulate unique pricing strategies in collaboration with sales and management representatives
  • Stay informed about inventory, including appropriate product substitutions
  • Develop and enhance product knowledge by attending relevant training classes
  • Negotiate special pricing contracts and maintain accurate documentation
  • Foster effective working relationships with Sales Associates, Inside Sales Associates, and support personnel
  • Exchange customer-needs information in a timely manner

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1+ years of experience with quoting substations and distribution equipment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the high voltage electrical industry
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred, or equivalent on-the-job experience as determined by Echo Electric
  • Knowledge of estimating software
  • Demonstrated customer and vendor relationship building and maintenance skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Ability to accurately read CAD drawings and specification layouts
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills
  • Time management and organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Commitment to and demonstration of high ethical standards governing professional behavior and interactions
