About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee warehouse functions including receiving, order fulfillment, shipping, counter sales, and inventory control
- Set direction for warehouse operations involving orders ranging from small boxes to pallets
- Lead Warehouse Supervisors and Counter Supervisor by setting goals and focusing on continuous improvement and associate development
- Apply knowledge of picking, packing, receiving, shipping, and warehouse equipment including RF scanners, wire-cutting machines, forklifts, pallet jacks, push carts, and rolling ladders
- Resolve complex warehouse issues and partner with internal and external customers to deliver high customer satisfaction
- Analyze warehouse pain points and implement process improvements with stakeholders
- Learn and maximize Solar Eclipse ERP capabilities to improve warehouse operations
- Serve as a safety ambassador by covering safety tips and correcting unsafe practices
- Monitor and provide input on the warehouse budget to capitalize on efficiencies and cost savings
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience managing teams in a medium-sized warehouse environment
- Strong leadership skills and proven experience driving behaviors that lead to great results
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to maintain a calm demeanor under stressful situations
- Excellent communication skills by phone, email, verbal, and written forms of communication
- Knowledge of industry safety best practices and OSHA
- Willingness to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation
- Ability to stand for extended periods and traverse the warehouse with or without accommodation
- Basic problem-solving skills and computer skills
