About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead research, design, and execution of multidisciplinary hardware systems development, including servers/firewalls, security appliances, switches, and access points
Manage cross-geography teams and drive development with JDM/ODM partners, primarily in Asia
Work with Software, Product, Finance, and Operations to align hardware strategy with business priorities
Lead design and development of the global hardware engineering team
Engage with Software and Product leads on hardware architecture, including silicon selection and system power, thermal, and mechanical decisions aligned with target COGs
Drive multidisciplinary hardware development across board and system design, Power, SI, ECAD, Mech/Thermal, Validation, and Compliance
Evaluate design-for-manufacturing, reliability, and quality trade-offs
Provide executive leadership visibility into performance, risks, and priorities
Lead career planning, compensation, employee development, hiring, and resourcing plans across the hardware organization
Shape hardware product strategy and roadmap definition, revenue, cost structure, and customer delivery

Requirements

What you’ll need

BS degree in EE or CE, with 15+ years of technical experience
Minimum 10+ years of technical & people leadership experience
Relevant experience in design of hardware products, with expertise in architecture, design tools & ecosystems such as PCB design, power management, logic design
Experience supporting new product introductions and influencing cross-functional decisions
Experience driving hardware development in both internal & JDM/ODM models
Ability to operate effectively at the executive level, internally and externally with JDM & supply chain execs
Experience building and leading high-performing teams
Strong strategic communication, with solid operations & financial acumen
Experience with servers, network security, firewall, and/or edge networking products preferred
Deep understanding of platform software requirements and ability to drive architectural decisions for well-integrated systems/solutions preferred
Ability to drive decisions across hardware functions including Mech/Thermal, SI, ECAD, Diagnostics, Validation, Compliance preferred
Familiarity with global JDM/ODM ecosystems, especially in Asia preferred
Trusted partnership with Software, Marketing & Supply Chain leadership for successful GTM & product lifecycle for high volume product families preferred
