About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide administrative and operational support for remote physician advisors
  • Serve as the primary point of contact when issues arise
  • Facilitate appeal letter requests by creating cases, preparing medical records, confirming deadlines, printing and mailing final letters, and calling payers to confirm outcomes
  • Maintain access to client EMRs and review training materials to become an expert in EMR navigation
  • Prepare PDF extracts of key EMR components for physician advisor case review
  • Schedule peer-to-peer reviews between physician advisors and insurance company medical directors
  • Resolve missing information, case manager or hospital physician questions, and EMR access issues
  • Monitor and triage case requests to meet target completion deadlines
  • Assist with onboarding and training remote clinical personnel and conduct physician training for EMR navigation
  • Coordinate conference calls between partner-site IT and clinical personnel
  • Coordinate mentor calls for clinical personnel
  • Triage calls during office hours and resolve client inquiries
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations, Word documents, mail merges, and Excel spreadsheets
  • Complete initial partner hospital administrative setup in the Advisory Services workflow system
  • Perform general office work, including faxing, mailings, drafting letters, and ordering supplies and forms
  • Complete additional special projects as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School degree or GED or equivalent experience
  • 2 years general business administration experience in a professional settings
  • Excellent general office skills, including computers, fax machines, printers, copiers, conference call set-up, scanners, and mobile phone/email devices
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Advanced Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, Microsoft Project and PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to work Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
  • Demonstrated can-do attitude, coachability, customer focus, eagerness to learn, strong work ethic, adaptability, resourcefulness, commitment, and teamwork
