About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide administrative and operational support for remote physician advisors
- Serve as the primary point of contact when issues arise
- Facilitate appeal letter requests by creating cases, preparing medical records, confirming deadlines, mailing final letters, and confirming outcomes with payers
- Maintain access to client EMRs and prepare PDF extracts for physician advisor case reviews
- Schedule peer-to-peer reviews between physician advisors and insurance company medical directors
- Resolve missing information, case manager or physician questions, and EMR access issues
- Monitor and triage case requests to meet completion deadlines
- Coordinate onboarding and training for remote clinical personnel, including physician training for EMR navigation
- Coordinate conference calls between partner-site IT and clinical personnel
- Coordinate mentor calls for clinical personnel
- Triage office-hour calls and resolve client inquiries
- Prepare PowerPoint presentations, Word documents, mail merges, and Excel spreadsheets
- Set up partner hospitals in the Advisory Services workflow system
- Perform general office work, including faxing, mailings, drafting letters, and ordering supplies and forms
- Complete additional special projects as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School degree or GED or equivalent experience
- 2 years general business administration experience in a professional setting
- Excellent general office skills, including computers, fax machines, printers, copiers, conference call setup, scanners, and mobile phone/email devices
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Advanced Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, Microsoft Project, and PowerPoint skills
- Ability to work rotating days, nights, weekends, and holidays between 7am–9pm ET
- Demonstrated can-do attitude, coachability, customer focus, eagerness to learn, work ethic, adaptability, resourcefulness, commitment, and teamwork
