About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide on-site support for product installation and configuration to vehicle upfitters
- Guide customers on automotive electronics and upfitting best practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SoundOff Signal products and systems
- Travel to customer locations as needed to provide on-site support
- Troubleshoot customer issues via phone and email
- Process warranty claims by coordinating part returns and replacements with the Technical Warranty Administrator
- Provide feedback and suggestions to improve SoundOff Signal products and services
- Collaborate with Sales, Training, and Technical Service teams
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Solid understanding of automotive electronics, including CAN bus, multiplex systems, and control modules
- Experience installing automotive electronics
- Experience working on emergency vehicles preferred
- Knowledge of automotive electronics, aftermarket installations, and 12V circuitry
- High School Diploma or equivalent with a preferred focus on technical education
- Communicate fluently in English and Spanish
- Positive, collaborative attitude and ability to work well as part of a team
- Relevant certifications such as MECP, EVT, or others
- Strong background in customer service
- Working knowledge of Windows PCs, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Office 365, Teams), and iOS and Android operating systems
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, twist, rotate, and reach throughout a shift
- Ability to handle small parts, lightbars, and electronic components with precision
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally up to 50%
- Consistent attendance with minimal absenteeism or tardiness
