About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Actively manage awarded contracts for assigned suppliers to achieve P&L goals
  • Develop business plans to drive contract utilization and supplier embracement
  • Launch new awarded contracts and onboard new and existing suppliers
  • Maintain supplier and contract documentation and manage contract amendments
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms and Cooperative Purchasing Program requirements
  • Establish and maintain relationships with supplier organizations
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to increase contract awareness and category growth
  • Manage and deliver supplier training through in-person and virtual methods
  • Communicate Sourcewell contract information to supplier sales management, dealers, and sales representatives
  • Support suppliers in developing marketing strategies and materials
  • Present at tradeshows, conferences, supplier events, and Sourcewell events
  • Capture supplier insights on industry, market, and agency customer trends
  • Represent suppliers to internal Sourcewell teams and support procurement, government relations, and process strategies
  • Support the Category Development team with category and supplier insights
  • Manage relationships with industry consultants, associations, and publications
  • Represent the Cooperative Purchasing team at internal meetings and support annual planning
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent demonstrated experience
  • Three years of experience in a sales and/or marketing role
  • Must be able to meet travel requirements, approximately ten times per year, including occasional travel to Staples, MN
  • Preferred: Five years of experience in advanced sales and marketing management
  • Preferred: Experience in public procurement and/or government contracting
