About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Supervise and lead day-to-day operations of the Recruitment group
  • Manage full life-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, recruiting, screening and recommending staff placement
  • Develop, coordinate, implement and supervise provider recruitment and new hire processes
  • Supervise and direct assigned personnel
  • Plan and implement recruitment activities, including job fairs, targeted advertising and selective search-firm use
  • Interview candidates and make hiring recommendations
  • Develop, implement and monitor provider recruitment and retention strategies
  • Prepare and maintain provider recruitment and retention statistical reports
  • Measure performance and develop employee engagement improvement plans and objectives
  • Coordinate provider recruiting strategies and the hiring process
  • Participate in budget preparation and cost control management
  • Develop multidisciplinary recruiting, advertising and marketing strategies
  • Recruit and hire providers
  • Ensure recruitment-program compliance and qualified Alaska Native and American Indian applicant preference under Public Law 93-638
  • Market and promote SEARHC to applicants, networks, institutions, universities and professional organizations
  • Communicate employee benefit information to applicants and networks

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Communications, Sociology or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Professional Recruitment or other Recruitment Certification(s) preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in Recruitment
  • 3+ years of Recruitment Team Management/Supervisory experience
  • 7+ years of healthcare recruiting or healthcare HR experience
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration and Human Resources processes and guidelines
  • Knowledge of Public Law 93-638 and its application to SEARHC’s recruitment and hiring processes and practices
  • Knowledge of recruiting, staffing, marketing, sales and advertising processes and procedures
  • Skills in teamwork-based HR service delivery, relationship-building, oral and written communications, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot and problem-solve using current Consortium policies and practices
  • Ability to create an environment where staff and applicants can express recruitment and application concerns
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build respectful, professional relationships
  • Ability to work with highly confidential information
  • Must be capable of applying provider recruitment knowledge day-to-day
