About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support and advise the capital delivery business on strategic and operational decision-making
- Perform complex financial analysis, including trend analysis and financial modelling
- Provide cost visibility, ownership, and performance insights
- Report on key performance indicators to drive cost reductions and identify risks, errors, problems, and improvement opportunities
- Collect budgets, quarterly and midyear forecasts, and other financial information
- Advise on business planning assumptions, trade-offs, and opportunities
- Provide sign-off and approval on annual plans and forecasts
- Lead the monthly financial business review process
- Prepare presentations and recommendations for senior management and the corporate office
- Provide financial governance and manage change initiatives
- Support budgets for multiple projects or large programmes and recommend appropriate actions
- Develop financial controls and forecasting techniques to evaluate contract/programme status and ensure compliance
- Forecast cash flow, sales, budgets, and expenses accurately and on time
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong business acumen
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong integrity, organisational, and analytical skills
- Ability to cope with challenging projects, changing environments, high pressure, and short timings while working autonomously
- Proven ability to interpret practical business implications of financial data
- Ability to drive change and build vision based on financial insights
- Strong leadership skills, including relationship-building, influencing, and judgement
- Evidence of identity and eligibility to work in the UK
- Successful criminal record check (DBS)
- Verification of employment and/or education history for the past three years
- Successful completion of pre-employment checks and security vetting
