About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Prepare, maintain and enhance performance metric data, performance dashboards, weekly and monthly reporting outputs, and analytical insight
Support the Reporting & Analytics Manager in delivering Water Operations dashboards
Gather requirements and define metrics, acting as a liaison within Water Operations to produce clear, detailed and delivery-ready backlog requirements
Document data definitions, reporting standards and data quality processes
Monitor dashboard and reporting-tool usage and identify opportunities to improve adoption, usability and insight
Assist with producing executive-level performance insight for the Water Director, Executive Leadership Team and Board
Support creation and delivery of Water Business performance reporting for leadership and regulatory requirements
Conduct detailed data analysis to generate insight supporting Operational Excellence and continuous improvement
Investigate operational performance drivers and identify opportunities to improve service, efficiency, regulatory performance and asset resilience
Support data-driven performance improvement across operational teams and business planning
Support colleagues in delivering automated reporting solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Candidates should be based within a reasonable commuting distance of the Durrington office, typically within one hour’s travel time
Background working in Water Operations or a similar industry
Data and analytics knowledge, including KPI architecture and enterprise reporting models
Product management knowledge, including Agile frameworks, product lifecycle management and user-centred design
Proven experience in data analytics, reporting, business intelligence and operational excellence
Strong IT skills, including MS Excel and advanced analytics platforms
Ability to manage own workload
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to engage, influence and connect with others
Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt
Evidence of identity and eligibility to work in the UK
Successful completion of criminal record check (DBS), employment and/or education history verification for the past three years, and security vetting
