About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Improve the reliability and resilience of rising mains across the region through integrated analysis of operational, telemetry, and condition-based maintenance datasets
  • Identify emerging failure risks, including transient pressures, asset deterioration, pump performance issues, and system instability
  • Develop intervention plans to prevent bursts and failures
  • Define intervention strategies for individual rising mains
  • Work with operational, asset, and engineering stakeholders to agree solutions
  • Oversee contractors delivering site interventions
  • Analyse analytical platform outputs and telemetry datasets to identify pressure transients, abnormal operating conditions, and emerging risks
  • Develop and run data-led models of rising main behaviour to determine root causes of abnormal operation
  • Brief and oversee contractors implementing calming and control solutions, ensuring safe, effective, and specification-compliant delivery

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong experience working with complex analytical or telemetry datasets within an engineering, asset, or operational context
  • Proven ability to interpret data to diagnose performance issues and failure modes
  • Experience developing technical recommendations based on quantitative evidence
  • Ability to work across multiple teams, including operations, engineering, and external contractors
  • Understanding of rising main operation, transient pressures, and pump controls
  • Evidence of identity and eligibility to work in the UK
  • Successful criminal record check (DBS)
  • Verification of employment and/or education history for the past three years
  • Successful completion of security vetting and pre-employment checks
