About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Engage with customers to understand problems and identify solutions
- Work with wastewater departments to determine root causes of pollution, flooding events, and customer-related issues
- Write reports documenting findings
- Create action plans to prevent recurring issues
- Assess and manage asset risks
- Work across internal and external departments and stakeholders
- Operate independently and collaboratively
- Participate in an out-of-hours rota
- Investigate complex cases through to resolution
Requirements
What you’ll need- Full driving licence essential
- IT literate
- Great communication skills
- Ability to interpret data from an array of data sources
- Sound investigation skills
- Competent use of systems including map reading
- Ability to manage complex cases through to resolution
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently under own initiative
- Practical skills and good technical knowledge of the wastewater industry
- Understanding of wastewater networks beneficial
- Experience working with internal and external stakeholders beneficial
- Analytical approach to understanding, describing, and solving real-world problems
- Evidence of identity and eligibility to work in the UK
- Criminal record check (DBS)
- Verification of employment and/or education history for the past three years
- Successful completion of pre-employment checks and security vetting
