About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support systems infrastructure by maintaining system configuration, performing system installation, and enforcing system standards
- Administer physical and virtualized systems
- Provide system, application, network, and client operating system security support
- Perform vulnerability remediation, network and system performance optimization, client machine imaging and lifecycle management, system monitoring, high availability, automation, and other client/server tasks
- Maintain documentation for compliance, configuration, inventory, disaster recovery, and security
- Contribute to and lead enterprise technology implementations and projects
- Operate controls timely and drive continuous process improvement
- Document policies, operating standards, and procedures for IT processes
- Secure physical and virtual clients/servers by enforcing policies and monitoring access
- Set up, configure, and support internal and external systems, networks, and operating systems
- Troubleshoot system performance issues and implement technical solutions for infrastructure applications, software, and corporate systems
- Track and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Provide support during business and non-business hours
- Manage the performance of multiple hardware and software platforms
- Provide Level 2 data and telecommunications support to team members and end-users
- Contact vendors for service when problems cannot be resolved internally
- Maintain systems, infrastructure applications, security, network, and client operating system documentation
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot network problems and outages, schedule upgrades, and collaborate on network optimization
- Maintain operational information, system utilization logs, policies, procedures, standards, and department documentation
- Participate in department meetings, projects, and functions
- Follow change management request procedures for production infrastructure changes
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive Bank information
- Participate in proactive team efforts and special projects
- Comply with audit policies, applicable laws, regulations, safety policies, and the Bank’s Information Security Program
- Perform additional assigned duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate’s degree in computer or business-related field or equivalent education or experience
- Minimum one (1) year in systems infrastructure field with medium enterprise base preferred
- Minimum one (1) year Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop experience required
- Additional VMware experience preferred
- Microsoft, Linux, or VMware Certification highly preferred
- Experience with Microsoft SCCM, Intune, M365, and Entra ID required
- Experience with DNS, DHCP, network backup and recovery, multi-function printers, inventory, anti-virus, lifecycle management, and scripting
- Understanding of Microsoft and VMware concepts
- Extensive hands-on experience with designing, implementing, patching, and configuring client/server automation, imaging, files and print servers
- Ability to manage multiple assignments/projects
- Strong technical, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- Self-motivated, dependable, analytical, and a problem solver
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to handle complex problems while maintaining workflow and compliance with department, company, and regulatory standards
- Ability to communicate problems and unusual situations to upper management in a timely manner
- Ability to operate in a team-oriented infrastructure and maintain effective communication
- Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with fingers
- Ability to occasionally lift boxes and equipment of up to 20 pounds
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 90% of the time
- Must be available for overtime as needed
