About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan and manage projects from initiation through completion
- Ensure alignment with business objectives and customer requirements
- Coordinate project resources, contract management, and progress reporting
- Lead troubleshooting efforts to address issues and ensure successful outcomes
- Monitor project performance, evaluate risks and results, and recommend adjustments to schedules, costs, and resources
- Advise senior leadership on project performance, risks, and opportunities
- Manage cross-functional project teams and clarify roles and responsibilities
- Define project terms, goals, and deliverables aligned with client specifications and organizational standards
- Coordinate processes and assignments and allocate resources efficiently
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards
- Establish project management best practices and recommend process improvements
- Evaluate project team performance and provide feedback and guidance
- Educate and mentor team members
- Implement training and development initiatives
- Manage staff performance and development
- Comply with company policies and standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree required
- 5-7 years of experience required
- Experience with project management lifecycle
- Experience with cost estimation, budgeting, and forecasting
- Experience with risk management
- Experience with subcontracting
- Experience with document control
- Experience with commissioning
- Ability to travel at least 50% if not local to Starkville, MS
- Ability to work in office, plant/warehouse floor, various shifts, heights/elevated platforms
- Ability to use computer/keyboard and wear required safety equipment
- PMP or similar certification preferred
- 8-11 years of experience preferred
- Ability to manage 2-5 direct reports
