About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide reflective, administrative, and operational supervision to Visitation Specialists
- Lead team meetings, staff training, coaching, performance management, and quality assurance activities
- Support staff scheduling, caseload oversight, documentation review, data management, coverage coordination, and timecard approvals
- Collaborate with courts, community partners, funders, and internal stakeholders on service delivery and case planning
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, supervision, and development of staff and interns
- Foster an inclusive, equitable, and psychologically safe team environment
- Monitor program performance through file reviews, data collection, reporting, and continuous quality improvement
- Provide leadership and decision-making in complex, high-conflict, or crisis situations
- Serve as a program resource in the absence of the Program Manager
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in human services (e.g., social work, psychology, human development) required
- Candidates without a degree may be considered with 5+ years of relevant experience working with children and families impacted by trauma and/or high-conflict custody
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working with at-risk children, youth, and families
- Knowledge of trauma, family systems, child development, IPV, and structural inequities
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based, trauma-informed supervised visitation practices
- Understanding of safety, risk, crisis intervention, intimate partner violence, and anti-racist, equity-centered service delivery
- Ability to manage crisis and high-complexity cases with emotional regulation and professional composure
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and cloud-based database systems
- Strong supervisory, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Must successfully complete all required background checks and clearances
- Must possess a valid NYS driver’s license with required insurance
